Joe Khouangsavanh, age 68 of Milledgeville died Sunday, February 08, 2015 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Joe was born March 1, 1946 in Laos, the son of Khouang and Boung Khouangsavanh. He married Chan Phouthavong in 1977 in Laos. Joe worked for 10 years at Raynor Garage Door and retired in 2012. He was a member of the Wai Lao Buddhram Temple in Hampshire, IL. Joe served in the Laos Royal Army.

Survivors include his mother Boung of Laos, wife Chan of Milledgeville, one son Andy (Brianne) Khouangsavanh of Mt. Morris, three sisters of Laos, one brother of Laos, one granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A Buddhist funeral ceremony will start at 1:00 P.M. ending at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, 505 1st Avenue, with Monks from the Wai Lao Buddhram Temple officiating. Cremation rites will follow.
